Verification of Schools, Instructors & Students
Purpose of Verification
The Sierra Leone Karate Union (SLKU) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, safety, and quality across all member schools. To ensure this, SLKU conducts regular verification of all registered karate schools, instructors, and students.
Verification helps us:
Confirm that schools are legitimate and operate according to SLKU standards.
Validate the qualifications and certifications of instructors.
Ensure all registered students meet SLKU eligibility and participation requirements.
Protect the reputation and integrity of karate in Sierra Leone.
Who Must Be Verified?
Karate Schools: All schools registering with or renewing membership in SLKU.
Instructors: All individuals teaching or coaching under SLKU-affiliated schools.
Students: All athletes participating in SLKU-sanctioned events and training.

Verification Process
Submission of Documents:
Schools must submit required documents for their institution, instructors, and students. These may include:
School registration and establishment certificates
Instructor certifications and licenses
Student registration forms and identification
Review & Audit:
SLKU officials review the submitted information for accuracy and completeness. Random audits or spot checks may be conducted.
Interviews & Inspections:
Where necessary, SLKU may conduct interviews with instructors or school management and visit training facilities to ensure compliance.
Approval & Registration:
Once verified, schools, instructors, and students are officially registered with SLKU and authorized to participate in Union activities.
Ongoing Monitoring:
SLKU reserves the right to re-verify or audit schools, instructors, and students at any time to maintain standards.
School Responsibilities
Provide accurate and truthful information during registration and verification.
Keep instructor and student records updated and available for review.
Notify SLKU promptly of any changes in instructor status or student enrollment.
Comply with all SLKU rules and regulations.
Consequences of Non-Compliance
Failure to provide accurate information or comply with verification procedures may result in:
Suspension or removal from SLKU membership.
Disqualification from SLKU-sanctioned events.
Loss of privileges to represent SLKU nationally or internationally.
